100% agave, made by roasting the piñas in traditional Mampostería masonry ovens. It's a blend of two distillates: one made from agave crushed in a modern roller mill and the other made with agave fibre crushed by a tahona.
Olmeca Altos Plata Tequila is delicious neat, with clear cooked agave notes, a citrussy zing, slight salinity and a peppery finish. Great in cocktails, including the classic Margarita.
Launched in 2009, Olmeca Altos was a collaboration between drinks industry veterans Henry Besant, Dre Masso and Maestro Tequilero Jesús Hernandez. It is owned by Pernod Ricard.
