Rooster Rojo Añejo Tequila is made from 100% blue agave and once distilled, is aged for a minimum of one year in used bourbon barrels.
With such prominent oak influence, this is one to try in an Old Fashioned, although we also like to use it in an Añejo version of a Manhattan.
Rooster Rojo Tequila was created by master distiller Arturo Fuentes Cortes, who named the tequila after the rooster – a well-known symbol of Mexico. It is part of Amber Beverage Group.
Rooster Rojo Tequila is produced at “Fabrica de Tequilas Finos” distillery, located in the city of Tequila, Jalisco state of Mexico. The distillery began operating in 2000 in a beautiful old colonial building dating back to 1923.
A classic traditional 100% Agave tequila, initially sweet but swiftly followed by a subtle yet distinct peppery spice.
Rooster Rojo Reposado Tequila is blended with water filtered through Mexican silver to offer a notably smooth flavour profile.
