IWSC 2023 Gold A delectably complex whisky with notes of candied fruit and delicate vanilla - in this edition, the classic Balvenie flavour is enhanced by even stronger, sweeter coconut and warm honey notes. Won a Gold medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition 2023.

Lusciously malty aroma with some sweet fudge, followed by citrusy and oak vanilla. To taste, candied citrus peels, vanilla toffee and butterscotch lead, before layers of blossom honey and oaked spices emerge.

About this product

import Virgin Oak barrels from Kentucky. After deep toasting them at The Balvenie Cooperage they were filled with Balvenie aged in ex-bourbon barrels

The iconic David C. Stewart MBE started his career at the distillery in 1962 as a whisky stocks clerk, he became Malt Master in 1974. He's renowned for his ground breaking work, notably around ‘cask finishes’ and multiple award winning whiskies.

The Balvenie distillery has been handcrafting whisky in Speyside since 1892. It’s the only distillery in Scotland that still grows its own barley, uses traditional floor maltings and keeps both a coppersmith plus team of coopers on site.
