Laurent-Perrier has always favoured Chardonnay as its main grape variety in its blended wines and was the precursor to the Brut Nature category. The Maison had to carry this variety through a cuvée, with just the Coteaux de la Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs planted with Chardonnay being selected and picked at perfect ripeness and low acidity to include them in the Blanc de Blancs blend. Perfect mastery of winemaking and ageing to find a new expression type, Brut Nature – just Laurent-Perrier!
