BAROLO CASTIGLIONE 2018 – VIETTI

Description

After 24 months of ageing in large casks, locally called Botti , the wine presented at the opening has a very mineral nose, almost sanguine, on notes of ripe black fruit and abundant heath. On the palate it starts off sharp and continues to the end thanks to great overall acidity. The tannins are still slightly firm but become refined over time. This is a legendary wine that will age in cellars for at least 15 years.
