CHATEAU CARTIER 2016 – SECOND WINE OF CHATEAU FONROQUE

Description

Second wine of Château Fonroque, Château Cartier seems to have a second wine only in name. The choice of the term Château before that of Cartier is not insignificant. Although its ageing potential is shorter than that of Fonroque, it is reputed to be rounder and more flexible and clearly has its own identity. This vintage is fine and fruity with a tense and persistent finish. This second wine, which looks like a premier, is a great success, a very good deal in Saint-Emilion Grand Cru.
