Neighbouring Troplong Mondot and Pavie, Château Pavie Macquin has rightly become a Premier Cru Classé. A deserved reward that salutes the exemplary work of its manager Nicolas Thienpont and his advisor Stéphane Derenoncourt. Together they were able to express the best of the Saint Emilion terroir while giving it a modern approach, adapted to the taste of the modern consumer. The bouquet, intense and very expressive, combines aromas of candied black fruits with superb burnt notes of woodland. Powerful and rich, the palate has a dense structure, sleek and elegant, which persists at length on the finish. A great bottle to keep in the cellar that will already reveal its full potential!
