The talented winemaker, Charles Joguet, puts his signature to this high-flying Chinon! This historic Clos with just over 10 hectares is striking for the age of its 70-80 year old vines, but also for its clay terroir with plenty of limestone and its north-east exposure – ideal for perfect ripening. These very old vines with low yields, 30 hl/ha, are nurtured with the utmost care and attention. The great wine from this domaine shows good concentration and power on the palate with a remarkable aromatic complexity. The real complexity of this vintage is the old vines that become apparent after 5 or 6 years of storage. A really magnificent wine!
