This cuvée is a tribute to Gérard Bertrand’s father who loved this plot of old Carignan vines, some of which are over 100 years old. The remarkable quality of this cuvée lies in the exceptional quality of the grapes. These are old vines of 80 years for Carignan and 20 years for Syrah. The blend of the two grape varieties gives this cuvée a beautiful aromatic expression (Syrah) and reveals the nobility of the wine (Carignan). With great fullness, the palate reveals powerful and elegant aromas, reminiscent of jammy red fruits. This is a great wine with a high ageing potential 20 years.
