DOMAINE BAUDOUIN – LE CORNILLARD 2020

Description

Le Cornillard is produced from old Chenin vines of between 50 and 70 years old which have been horse-ploughed since 2016. This parcel is very beautiful as it descends to the River Layon, meeting it at one of the most picturesque meanders of the river and with views over the whole valley. It has a south-east exposure. The shale soil comes from the before the primary era. The parcel’s stony, arid character is reflected in the mineral, lingering and structured framework. This structure then marries with the complexity of the ripe fruit to make a wine that has length and depth!
